Speak Louder Than Words

"Actions speak louder than words, so believe what you see and forget what you heard."

What is true about life is that the actions we are willing to commit are much greater in showing others where we are in life than words alone. Words are very powerful, and heavily influence our actions, but words aren't always enough.

To show that we are really about what consumes our mind, and our mouths, we have to be willing to act!

Think positively, speak positively, and act positively. You may believe in yourself and your dreams with all of your heart, but if you never act on these things then you will never move one inch closer towards ever seeing them realized.

As you take steps each day towards the life you know that God has meant for you, be bold. Don't walk lightly, run to your dreams, run to your goals, and set the bar high, so that when you finally achieve them you may truly be satisfied!

Nails In The Fence

"Be patient and understanding. Life is too short to be vengeful or malicious."

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there."

The little boy then understood how powerful his words were. He looked up at his father and said "I hope you can forgive me father for the holes I put in you."

"Of course I can," said the father.

Pretty Words Are Not Always True

"Pretty words are not always true, and true words are not always pretty."

Though there are some who are given the gift to outlay an excellent terminology the words they utter do not necessarily mean anything if they aren't true. If we are to be concerned with a person's words we must be able to effectively choose who we give our ears to by devoting the energy that we spend listening, hearing and understanding words of actual wisdom, and not words that are played together nicely.

A lot of people are able to say a lot of things, especially in this information age, and if we don't choose who we listen to regularly on the basis of whether or not their words or true or not we could be influenced to live a life that is untrue and lacking in meaning itself. Not only should we only lend our ears to those who are willing to speak the truth, but we should also make great efforts to live an honest life, speaking nothing but the truth ourselves!

Batu Nabau

The existence of a boulder shaped like a huge snake is nothing new to the residents of Nyalau Muang longhouse. The boulder known as Batu Nabau is located in Bukong which is about 50 metres from the longhouse.

The Batu Nabau measures more than nine metres in length and two metres in diameter. It straddles Sungai Bukong at a place called Batu Lintang. The tale regarding Batu Nabau resurfaces after a Siamese man from Kuala Lumpur made a claim on the existence of a huge snake that turned into stone as he doubled his efforts to locate it. With the assistance of the local residents in the Sri Aman District, he located Batu Nabau as dreamt. Together with the local residents, he painted the boulder and cleared the areas around it.

The man’s tale was published in the local newspaper.The tale did not end there as Jawi-like alphabets were said to have been found in the central portion of Batu Nabau. The alleged Jawi alphabets of alif, lam, nun, mim and sinwere said to have been arranged in a reverse order and separated from one another.

The discovery was made by one of the local residents who had visited the area after reading an article about Batu Nabau in the local newspaper. As Batu Nabau has become a public attraction, the Lubok Antu District Council (MDLA) plans to develop the area as one of the tourist destinations. It also proposes to conduct a detailed study on the existence of Batu Nabau which will be documented for public information.

The Nabau Stone became the talk of town when it received media coverage back in 1996 and the story about the stone was published in the following years in a local Mandarin newspaper. Taking advantage of the popularity of Batu Nabau as a public attractoin, the Lubok Antu District Council(MDLA) has planned to develop the area as a tourist attraction.

It also proposed a detailed study to be conducted on the Batu Nabau for public consumption.As a result of the proposal, several representatives were sent to monitor and scrutinise the potential of the area in becoming a tourist attraction in addition to learning about the story behind the stone's existence. MDLA hopes that the location of the Nabau stone could later developed as a tourist's spot in the Engkilili small district. Visitors who wish to see the Nabau stone must be cautious and adhere to the instructions posted at the entrance to the area.

Take a good look around you

Take a good look around you. Before you complain about how bad or screwed up your life is, take a step back and look around. You've got people that genuinely care about you and you have all the basic necessities provided... food, clothing, shelter. Things could be worse. Things don't always go your way and things aren't always perfect but that doesn't mean your life sucks. Appreciate what you do have.

If they don't appreciate you they don't deserve you

"If they don't appreciate you they don't deserve you."

If any person that you give your time, effort, and energy to doesn't act like they appreciate you, they don't deserve for you to give your time, effort and energy to them. Don't be bothered with those who wont receive from you. As in the parable of the sower, there are just some people who will never allow for him or her to receive any thing from anyone else. Some soil or people will never be able to let go and humble their selves enough to receive anything from any person, including you.

Don't get discouraged, because there are many others who need help as well. Sometimes we may be able to effectively inspire a whole nation of people that we aren't close to, but not be able to touch who needs it the most and is closest to us. This is just how life works in some instances. We have to choose to let go of the things in life that are slowing our progression and the progression of the people who we are missing out on blessing.

True love is sacrifice

"True love is sacrifice."

Many times when we are in love we have to make sacrifices. Though we should never, ever sacrifice who we are as individuals, sometimes being in true love means that we must sacrifice things like plans we may have already made, so that we can be there for someone we truly love.

Sometimes true love may require us to sacrifice acquiring more material possessions so that we may be able to develop a closer intimate bond with someone we truly love.

Sometimes love will require us to give love in moments that we know we would rather receive love, and sometimes true love will force us to put a person that we truly loves own well being before our own.

True love is never easy, and it requires much sacrifice at times, but the benefits and the rewards from treating a true love as what it really is, will be available to harvest for a lifetime.

Faith sees the way

"Doubt sees the obstacles. Faith sees the way. Doubt sees the darkest night. Faith sees the day. Doubt dreads to take a step. Faith soars high. Doubt questions "Who believes?" Faith answers "I"."

Do you doubt more than you believe? As the great Buddha stated "There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills."

Doubt doesn't do anything but hide behind the obstacles that are in its way, while faith allows for a person to overcome them. Doubt only allows for a mind to see how dark it is at night, while faith allows for a mind to see that preparation is imperative for the new light in the day that is coming ahead. A person who doubts is never willing to start, while a person of faith steps out against every challenge in an effort to fly. Doubt tries to destruct the human psyche, while those who are faithful remain strengthened even in times of great destruction and difficulty. Which do you choose?

Be with someone who knows your worth

"It will be worth it to be with someone who knows your worth."

Finding someone who realizes how much you are worth will probably lead to a better life than a life dedicated to someone who pays no mind to how much you are worth. One small but big reason that we all seek companionship from someone we can stem an intimate relationship with is because we want to feel loved, we all want to feel important, and we all want to be attractive to at least one person. So make your significant other feels as though they are truly important.

Show them that you care in different ways everyday that you possibly can. Never be scared to tell them your true feelings aloud, especially if you love them, and be sure to also tell them why you care about them as well. Everyone needs their ego stroked every once in a while, make sure if you have someone special and if someone has you to communicate your love for them, and not to let them take for granted that you need these things communicated to yourself as well.

The past is a good place to visit, but not to stay

"Past is a good place to visit but certainly not a good place to stay."

The memories that we make in life with the people and the things that we adore in each moment are memories that we should cherish for the rest of our lives. Memories are made for us to be able to look back upon, and appreciate times that were good, when we are in periods of despair, and also to help us overcome situations that arise in our present and future that we have answers to because of the things that we experienced in our pasts.

It is very crucial to remember when dealing with the past that though it may be a good place to visit, that it is not a good place to stay. Trying to live in the past will severely limit the future of any individual trying to do so. In trying to live in the past we essentially are focusing our efforts on going backwards in life, when we must only be concerned with moving forward, and creating the best future for ourselves as possible.

In the end they'll judge you anyway

In the end they'll judge me anyway so whatever.

In your life there will always be those who judge you. There will be those who judge you who don't have a clue who you are, or what you are really about. There will be those who judge you who aren't living to their fullest potential themselves. And there will even be those who judge you that know you best just because they may envy your drive, or the road that you are on towards success and happiness in your life. In the end, most people will judge you, so instead of worrying about what people think, do whatever may make you the happiest in life.

Worrying about another judgment only gives them a hold over your life that no one should ever have. Remember that many men will judge you, but just as we arent perfect, neither are they. We must continue to reach and strive toward our calling and what is in our hearts to achieve than to worry about what people may think of us

Accepting the fact that things change

I admit, I really miss how things used to be. But I can also admit, that I've accepted the fact that things changed.

One lesson we must all learn in our lives is that things can always change. Sure, we will always remember how things used to be, and we will sometimes lose sight of our future because we want to turn around and re-live moments from our past, but there must come a time in which we accept that things have changed. One thing that we must all note in life is that we cannot undo the parts of our lives that have changed, and that may cause us to regret now.

We can't always go back and undo the pain that we have caused others and ourselves, we cannot always mend the hearts that we break back together. What we can do though, is make an effort to live the best life that we possibly can, and to vow to always be better, and to do better than we ever did in the past. Your past is your past, and no matter what you do you cannot change it, but you can create a better future as long as you give effort within every waking moment of your life.

Sometimes you mean nothing to someone who means everything to you

Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do. Because, sometimes, you mean nothing to someone who means everything to you.

It is hard to accept when we come to the realization that a person in our lives that we care about significantly just doesn't care about us as much, or in the same way in which we care for them. When we find ourselves in situations as such we must be willing to let our feelings go sometimes, especially when we have done everything that we feel we possibly could have, but in turn still get rejected.

Sometimes we must try not to care because no matter what we may do, we won't mean the same to a person that they mean to us. Never let this deter you from showing someone your true feelings later on down the line, because it doesn't mean you weren't good enough for them, it just means that they weren't good enough to see how dynamic of a person you really are.

People will hurt you

"People can be cruel, and they will be. People can hurt you, break your heart and they will. But only you can let them KEEP hurting you."

The saying goes, if a snake bites you once, it may be the snakes' fault, but usually when the snake bites you a second time, it is your fault. When we are in the vicinity of something that is potentially harmful, like a relationship with a dishonest person, or a person who has no qualms with hurting us to get what they want, and they eventually do, it may not be our fault the first time that they do so, even if the warning signs were there.

It is only after these people hurt us and only when we choose to allow them into our lives to hurt us again, is it our fault that we get hurt again. As this passage says, people can be cruel, and they will be. This is not to say, that everyone will hurt you over and over again, and that no one deserves a second chance, but those who are chosen by you to receive a second chance, should be chosen wisely, and only with your heart's discretion.

"Stop going back to the one who brings you more pain than happiness. It's not worth it to continue to invest your feelings into somebody unworthy of your love. Everybody deserves second chances, but not for the same mistakes."

Having the courage to talk to someone

"Sometimes, the people you think don't want to talk to you are the ones waiting for you to talk to them."

Having the courage to talk to someone who you may be scared to talk to may open up doors that you never imagined would be open for you, sometimes we must be willing to take risks like talking to someone that we never knew would talk to us, and in turn we may find out that they have been the ones that have been waiting to talk to you. Life requires us at times to be more aggressive than we would normally like to be. 

Instead of running from life, and the uncomfortable situations that we may expose ourselves to, it is important that we make our self comfortable in being in uncomfortable situations, and that we utilize the ability to take risks in our lives, because it is these types of situations that allow us to grow exponentially. We must be willing to talk to the people who we don't think will talk to us, and choose to go after experiences that we are uncertain about as well.

When someone has a crush on you, it can make you feel excited and nervous if you also feel the same way about the person. Unfortunately you won't always feel the same about everyone who has a crush on you, so sometimes it can be awkward. Regardless of whether you feel the same way about a person who has feelings for you, it is important to address the situation by talking to him/her about it.

Wasting time thinking about someone

"Sometimes we waste too much time to think about someone that doesn't think about us for a second."

Wasting one's time is one of the biggest wrongs that can be committed against one's self. Time is our most valuable resource because it is something that once past, can never be acquired again. In order to make the best use of our time it is crucial that we use it doing the things within our heart that we love, with the people we love and who love us in return. 

When somebody isn't willing to devote their self to you, like you are willing to devote yourself to them, having a relationship with this person will more than likely lead to devastation for the person who cares most. This isn't always something that is possible to avoid but can more easily be determined even though sometimes it may be after we acquire feelings for a person. In order to be the best you, you must be willing to let go of people who have no interest in helping transform you into the best you, don't waste your time on those that don't.

My second home: Sarawak

My posting result already came out and giving my heartbeats became fast. Fast and furious. Enter Identity Card Number. The result shows everything. Sarawak will be my next destination of life. My life as a teacher will be start there. God Bless. I was sad because maybe I will alone in stranger places. Then, all friends post their posting. I'm glad that my friends also went to Sarawak. Most of us. 2 of my friends got Sabah and 1 for Selangor. Not bad either. The more the merrier.

This post should be written in 9th of January. So many things that I need to do and consider. This is my journey. Journey as a teacher. I hope that I can serve very well. Sarawak be good to me. I'm just a novice teacher.

Unfortunately, JPN still pending in giving a school's name and district. Can't book air ticket. Just enjoy my life there. Sarawak, here I come.

My heart

One day an 11 year old girl asked her daddy,

"What are you going to get me for my 15th birthday?"

The father replied, "There is much time left."

When the girl was 14 she fainted and was rushed to the hospital.

The doctor came out and told her dad she had a bad heart& she is probably gonna die

When she was lying in the hospital bed she said

"Daddy,. have they told you I am going to die?"

The father replied no you will live as he left weeping.

She said "How can you be sure."

He turned around from the door and said "I know."

She turns 15 when she is recovering and comes home to find a letter on her bed. It says;

"My Dearest Daughter, if you are reading this it means all went well as I told you. One day you asked me what I was giving you for your 15th birthday, I didn't know then but now my present to you is a MY HEART."

Her father donated his heart.

P/S: Now only love like that can make a father end his life to save his daughter. I'm envious and touched by the story. Although it's just a short story, it makes we cry a lot and think deeply. Can't imagine that will happen to us. We still don't want lose someone that we love, especially our parents.

Such a heart felt song. Sounds like they are in different places in their hearts. Go listen to this one, just breaks my heart. Hope I can work it out in real life. So, I won't give up that easily until I try my best. That's all.
